REPORT OF THE NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT REFORM 

Democratic local governance is being increasingly and universally accepted as being of critical importance and value to the hope of achieving many of the goals which most countries have at the top of their national agendas. These goals include the following balanced and sustainable development, good governance; an improved quality of life for the mass of the world’s population, and an inclusive society in which all traditionally marginalized groups/sectors are brought into the mainstream of society.
